As part of the Nollywood Qatar 2025 Film Investment Summit, the visiting Nigerian film delegation embarked on an inspiring studio tour of Katara Studios in Doha on 22nd October 2025.

The visit offered the delegates, comprising leading Nigerian filmmakers, producers, actors, and media executives, an exclusive look into one of the Middle East’s most advanced film and postproduction facilities. The team was warmly received by Mr. Salman Al Muhannadi, Communications Manager at Katara Studios, whose guidance and coordination led to a memorable success.

Among those present during the studio tour were Emeka Rollas Ejezie, National President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Uche Agbo, National President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), and Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Ibe, Co-founder of Saint Basil & Vicky Events and Co-convenor of the Nollywood Qatar 2025 Film Investment Program.

During the tour, the Nollywood representatives explored Katara’s world-class sound stages, Dolby-certified mixing suites, music production facilities, and film-grade editing rooms. They also had the opportunity to view some of the remarkable projects produced by Katara Studios, showcasing the studio’s technical excellence and creative achievements. The visit provided valuable insight into Qatar’s growing film infrastructure and opened discussions on future collaboration, co-production, and training opportunities between the Nigerian and Qatari creative industries.

The delegates also held a roundtable discussion focused on cultural exchange between the Nollywood and Qatari film industries, exploring possible areas of partnership in film production, content distribution, and creative talent development.

The visit to Katara Studios underscored the shared commitment of both nations to fostering cultural exchange through film and innovation. Delegates commended the Katara team for their hospitality and for showcasing Qatar’s readiness to engage with African cinema on a global platform.

The visit to Katara Studios set the stage for the delegation’s next stop, the Nigerian Embassy in Doha, where diplomatic and creative exchanges continued.
